Already made $117!

it is the night before our garage sale and we have already made $117 from it! An older guy (I'm assuming hes a collector, one of those that arrive really early to get the good stuff and then resell it elsewhere) asked if he could take a look today as he wouldn't be here on Saturday. We said that was fine. By the time he arrived we had most things already priced. He haggled a little which was fine and in the end he bought an old hat stand for $15, a golf club set for $10, a frame for $2 and a set of Tyres from my old car for $80. :-)

    That leads to a funny memory... we had a collector guy show up early to our garage sale before we moved, and he started going through the barriers to the back of our garage, looking at stuff that was clearly marked NOT FOR SALE and making ridiculous offers on family heirlooms, and acting offended that we wouldn't sell them. Then he pretended to call someone on his cell phone and tell them about "all the awesome stuff here, and he was going to make an offer on it" and then I finally just asked him to leave. I'm so glad that your guy wasn't like that chucklehead! Nice to have the insurance of over a hundred dollars before you even get started... Smile Jerry
