gado gado

Last night I made Gado Gado salad for the first time. I don't really know if I did it properly (the sauce I mean - chopping vegetables into sticks isn't exactly rocket science...) but it sure tasted delicious! Anyone else ever had it/made it? What did you think?

Tonight I was going to make haloumi & vegetable skewers grilled on the barbecue, but I was flicking through a recipe book to get ideas for next weeks meals, and found a creamy pumpkin pinenut pasta dish that sounded so good, and I had all the ingredients so I decided to make that for dinner instead. Smile

So, tomorrow we will have haloumi & vegetable skewars.

    Oh, cool! I'll be growing bitter melon next year and now I know a new thing to do with it. Gado gado. And mmm, creamy pumpkin pinenut pasta? I've got a huge crop of butternut squash coming in I bet I could use for that. You are a great source for food ideas. Smile You have some really different cultural influences on foods there than I have here.

    I love gado gado - I make a cole slaw with peanut sauce instead of mayo that I call my gado gado slaw.
