what do you eat for breakfast?

October 8th, 2008 at 01:39 am

Well, this morning I tried the grated apple/protein theory to prolong my starving-ness. At 6am I ate:

1/2 cup organic toasted muesli
1/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons plain yoghurt
1/2 a grated apple

and

an espresso coffee with 1/4 cup milk & 1 sugar

I had to eat something (a mandarin and two homemade cookies) at 10am.

So that was four hours. I guess usually I last from eating at 5am to 7.30-8am. So it's giving me an extra hour. Is that good? I don't think I could eat any more, I felt a bit full this morning - almost that sickly full feeling.

What does everyone else eat for breakfast?

I am either (1) oatmeal and raisins (Instant kind, flavored variety) (Need to work on a gradual return to more natural) OR (2) English muffin with peanut butter or cream cheese and a banana.

I can usually go 4 hours on that.

I eat a bowl and a half of store-brand apple cinnamon cheerios with skim milk. I have a half of a juice glass of orange juice with which I take a multivitamin and an aspirin.

Breakfast is around 7:25am. Lunch is just after noon. Breakfast generally holds me until lunch.

Peanut butter on a 1/2 whole wheat Enlish Muffin, glass of skim milk. I alternate that with 3 egg whites and 1 yolk. I am low carbing to get off some weight. I have a tendency to get hungry when eating too many carbs. These usually hold me 4 hours. Once I am totally low carbing it can hold me a bit longer with mild hunger pains instead of the usual strong hunger pains after 4 hours.

Oatmeal or eggs and toast or cream of wheat or any regular lunch item or etc...you get the idea. I eat something different most every day. If I don't have protein, I last maybe 2 hours, with protein I can last 4-5. Either way, I just eat when I am hungry and eat small portions. I end up eating 6+ times per day.

Just protein, so I don't get hungry. Usually a hard boiled egg and some sausage. Low carb Hood chocolate milk an hour before I eat.

Two pieces of toast and a large cup of decaf tea around 6 AM. I am starving by 9 AM, so a granola bar. Then I can last til Noon. I get sick if I don't eat every few hours.

I am a terrible eater...but regardless 4 hours is a LONG time to go without eating IMO.

I eat constantly though. generally get compliments on how fast I lose and keep off the baby weight, so I figure eating often is a good thing.

I've been eating those Quaker oatmeal bars because I got them free. Free was good enough and they're easy to eat in the car on the way to the university, but I wouldn't buy them again. Cereal will be the next selection.

oatmeal and raisins or a stripple-tomato sandwich and banana. Sometimes scrambled eggs, toast, and stripples ( Morningstar Farm fake bacon.)
