i am never buying a whole pumpkin AGAIN

EVER.

I was all set to make pumpkin soup yesterday, and then I cut the pumpkin in half (having only bought it two days ago) and it was rotten.

oh, and it was sooooo rotten.

it was all liquidy inside, and the smell... oh. my. god. i was so close to throwing up in the kitchen sink.

*shudder*

$2.69 down the drain. or in the gardbage, should i say.

    Stuff it all into a zip-lock bag and take it back to the store...it would serve them right. I know, yuck, probably not worth it. But maybe if you just tell them about it, they'll give you another or your $$ back.

    I would take it back if it happened to me. That pumpkin shouldn't have been rotten after 2 days in your house. They stay out in fields for a while after being cut.

    sorry guys - i threw it out straight away. it was absolutely putrid. i am tossing up whether to go there again or not in the future - (and the petrol to drive there would probably outweigh the $2.69 i paid for it )lol.

    this week i will be going to the markets anyway. the guy i buy from normally has very fresh produce and i have never had anything bad from him. but me thinks it is halved pumpkin from now on!
