menu, surveys

January 25th, 2010 at 07:45 am

It was 34C today. Eugh.

I just checked a survey site account and had enough to cash out a $20 GC for a shopping centre I use. There's $5.50 remaining in the account too, and I am close to getting a $30 check from another survey site.

Menu Plan for the week:

Salad, Lamb Chop/Vege Patty, Steamed Veges
Toasted Paninis
Indian Vegetable Curry with rice
Dinner Out (DF's sis's bday)
Vege Sauce & Pasta
BBQ & Salad

I shopped at the markets on Saturday - BIG difference in the produce. Smile Oh well, I tried. It might be convenient to drop by the store during the week instead of every Saturday mornings - but it's so much fresher at the markets.

I will hopefilly only need to buy olives, feta, tofu & some other assorted goods from the grocery store. Not a lot needed this week.

That's all for now!

I just bought some curry paste to try a recipe for roasted curry veges! I found the recipe at Rachel Ray's site, for rollover menus.

We have our menus planned too:
Monday: Carne asada with grilled peppers and onions.
Tuesday: Beef Stroganoff (Tyler what's his name on food network recipe).
Wednesday: Soy sauce and garlic marinated chicken breasts.
Thursday: Mac and cheese (from scratch, 2 batches one with regular cow products and one with goat products for my granddaughter).
    Friday: Leftovers.

We are trying to eat out of the pantry and freezer, but DH came across a great buy on whole sirloins at the local Safeway and he had them slice it very thin for the asada, so we are stocked up on that.

We always have a salad or vege. Last night was shrimp quesidadilas (sp?) and leftover shrimp dish with leftover brussell sprouts sauteed with pancetta and leeks...yum.
