unpacking, and a gift.

April 11th, 2009 at 07:35 am

well, lo and behold it's already 5.30pm and I feel like I have done nothing all day Big Grin

It's actually been nice to bum around all weekend - and I still have a full 2 days to go!

Today I unpacked two massive boxes of stuff. They are the boxes you BUY to pack in (about 1.5m high). So I was happy with that effort. I couldn't really garden today as it rained all day. It was nice to laze around though. DF's friends mother came around and I showed her our house, she gave us a housewarming gift of an organic, water wise gardening book that is suited to our climate, which I thought was very thoughtful!

Tomorrow I think I will get more stuff done.

Time to cook dinner!

Any gift that helps you save money and help the environment is a good gift indeed. Though I bet this book will ask you to purchase equipment that will negate the money savings for a while.

That is a great gift! It sounds like you are really enjoying homeownership ... Congratulations!

gamecock: you are right, it will probably ask us to purchase things, but luckily we have a lot of gardening equipment/potting mix and plants already. and we have a great market that sells things cheaply on sundays. but i had been planning on purchasing a book like that anyway, so it was a great gift in the end!
scfr: yes i am enjoying it Big Grin
